InsuranceMedical Massage Insurance Billing
Insurance companies provide a few ways to receive massage and manual therapy techniques in the state of Vermont. They consist of: MVA; motor vehicle accident insurance, as well as Worker's Compensation; a job related injury. Some Health Saving's Accounts (HSA's) also reimburse for Massage Therapy. At PLanet Massage, everyone is encouraged to ask their employer or insurance company if medical massage is covered. The more people that ask, the more chance for change in the industry! :) This work is injury specific (treating specific areas of the body only) to decrease pain, increase healing, and increase range of motion or flexibility. Please bring with you: -Name of referring physician or prescription information. -An ICD-10-CM code(s) or particular diagnostic codes used by your prescribing physician (ex: M54.40). -Insurance company's information including representative contact information. -Claim Number. -The original date of your current injury. -Employer's Name. -Billing Address. -Photocopy of your insurance card.
